I think in some ways we lost our innocence as a city this week. It’s hard to imagine that something like this could happen in our own beloved city. My daughter was passing out water to runners in Natick with family friends. I shudder to think what could have happened if she were at the finish line. I imagine, like me, you are hugging your little ones a little tighter and praying for families who suffered a different fate. In a small way I would like to help those affected by this nightmare.
This year’s Portraits in the Park will benefit all those involved in the Boston Marathon tragedy. In an effort to benefit those in need, $50 from the mini session fee will be sent in to www.onefundboston.org. The Boston One Fund was set up by Mayor Menino and Governor Duval to help those that have been affected by the bombings.
The Sessions will take place at Elm Bank in Wellesley on May 18th and 19th. The sessions are 30 minutes and cost $150 and include an 8×10 print or $350 for the session and 20 digital files. Please call 617-833-0660 to reserve your space.
